Coach Perkins Named SCPS 2011 School-Related Employee of the Year Finalist

Coach Nat Perkins has been named as one of three finalists for Seminole County Public Schools' 2011 School-Related Employee of the Year. Coach Perkins is a Security Guard at Crooms Academy of Informational Technology, where he has worked 10 of his 29 years in the school district. You may better remember Coach Perkins as the Boys and Girls Cross Country and Track & Field Coach.

In order to qualify as a Finalist, Coach Perkins was one of 67 School-Related Employees of the Year throughout Seminole County. These honorees represent elementary schools, middle schools, high schools, charter schools, special centers, the Educational Support Center, Facilities Services and Transportation Services. Out of this group of outstanding support personnel, three have been chosen as Finalists for the 2011 Seminole County School-Related Employee of the Year. Coach Perkins is the only School-Related Employee from the middle or high school level; the other two finalists are Debra Skipper (Eastbrook Elementary) and Debbi Pegel (Stenstrom Elementary).

These three finalists, along with all the other School-Related Employees of the Year, will be honored at the annual Recognition Program at Lyman High School on Tuesday, May 3rd. The program will begin at 6 PM, and the DISTRICT WINNER's name will be revealed that evening!
